About NWVM 2019

The North West Vertical Marathon (NWVM) 2019 is a non-competitive charity vertical marathon with three main objectives:

​

  • Promote a healthy lifestyle within the North West CDC and bring together individuals with an interest in sports and fitness;

  • Raise funds for the Community Chest; and

  • Increase awareness of the underprivileged in the community.

​

NWVM is jointly organised by the Youth Executive Committees (YEC) of Holland-Bukit Timah GRC and Bukit Panjang SMC. They consist of:

​

  • Bukit Panjang CC YEC

  • Bukit Timah CC YEC

  • Senja-Cashew CC YEC

  • Ulu-Pandan CC YEC

  • Zhenghua CC YEC

About COMMUNITY CHEST

The Community Chest was established in 1983 to raise funds for those in need. Over the years, it has built an enduring trust and partnership with many organisations, foundations and individuals, enabling and empowering them to lead fulfilling lives.

 

Community Chest supports about 80 social service organisations in Singapore, allowing them to focus on caring for the disadvantaged. 100% of funds raised through our event goes towards empowering the lives of:

 

  • Children with special needs and youth-at-risk

  • Adults with disabilities

  • Families in need

  • Vulnerable seniors

  • Persons with mental health issues.
